Pillbox North Station is an underground Los Santos Transit station in Grand Theft Auto V and Grand Theft Auto Online located in Downtown Los Santos. The station is under construction during the events of the game and as such remains closed.

Description[]

The site is located directly under the Penris Building in northern Downtown Los Santos.

The current progress of the station's construction suggests it will feature at least one side platform, compared to the other stations on the line which exclusively feature island platforms. Both the wall and the platform feature "Pillbox North" signs.

As well as being a part of the city's existing tram line (although no trams stop at the station due to it being incomplete), newly constructed tunnels to the south of the station suggest the station is intended as part of either a new line or a new branch from the existing line.

Escalators lead up from the concourse to a small entrance hall, although there has been no access or surface entrance constructed beyond this point. The only way into the station other than along the tracks is via a tunnel to the south that allows builders and building equipment to reach the site, or through the nearby sewer system to the north. Scaffolding and construction tools can be seen around the site, and builders usually appear during daylight hours.

The closest stations to the site are Burton and Strawberry.

Trivia[]

  • News bulletins regarding the construction are heard on the radio, with claims that residents do not want the subway to pass under affluent areas such as Rockford Hills, despite the fact that the subway already passes through Burton, which is part of Rockford Hills.
  • The turnstiles being installed into the station appear to be taken from Grand Theft Auto IV, unlike other turnstiles featured in other stations.
  • The tunnel section under construction through Downtown Los Santos geographically bears some resemblance to the real-world Regional Connector light rail extension in Los Angeles.
