Pier 400 is a large freighter yard featured in Grand Theft Auto V and Grand Theft Auto Online located in Elysian Island in the Port of Los Santos.
Description
Pier 400 seems to be the scapegoat of illegal imports, such as military-grade weapons and drugs. The pier is also the workplace of Floyd Hebert, and one of the main operational places of Merryweather Security. A small railyard is located in the area, covered by a large garage that has "Pier 400" written on the walls. The yard has some rolling stock stored there, such as tanker cars and box cars.
According to several signs, the yard appears to be protected by both Merryweather Security and Gruppe Sechs.
Events of GTA V
When Trevor Philips arrives in Los Santos, he begins looking for a target to rob. Accompanying his friend Wade Hebert's cousin, Floyd, to work, he picks a cargo ship owned by Merryweather to rob, upon learning that it is carrying an experimental superweapon. If the Freighter Approach is chosen, Trevor recruits his friends, Michael De Santa and Franklin Clinton to help rob it.
While Michael infiltrates the ship to plant Sticky Bombs, Franklin provides sniper cover. After Michael successfully escapes the ship, the bombs are triggered. Using a Minisub, Trevor pilots into the wreckage and obtains the superweapon. As the trio begins to celebrate, Lester Crest arrives and angrily tells them to put it back, as if they keep it, they will be hunted down by every known agency on the planet. Michael and Franklin agree with Lester, convincing Trevor to concede. Lester and Wade return the weapon, arranging for it to be found amidst the wreckage.
Events of Grand Theft Auto Online
In the mission "By Land, Sea and Air", Lester orders the player to steal two Buzzard Attack Choppers from the rooftop of the main Pier 400 warehouse, which are being used by Merryweather Security due to their increase in scale of domestic operations.
