Penetrator is a arcade minigame developed in 1984 by Degenatron. It is available to play in the Arcade in Grand Theft Auto Online.
Description[]
The game was previously available to play on an "emulator" on the degenatron.com teaser site for Grand Theft Auto: Vice City before being added as an arcade machine in GTA Online.
The game is a tube shooter, similar to Tempest, in which the player must shoot the incoming green squares by going to the correct column and shooting down with the red square. If a green square makes it past the red boundary, the game will display the phrase "PENETRATED!" and the player will lose a life. If the player loses all three lives, it is Game Over.
Challenges[]
In GTA Online, there are two challenges available in this arcade game. Special T-shirts will be awarded to the player if they manage to complete each one of them.
Masterful[]
This challenge requires the player to score over 40.000 points in a single play. Not much to say besides the fact the player will need quick reflexes, good concentration and a lot of patience to complete this challenge. You will need to destroy at least 2.000 green dots to achieve the needed score and that can take up to 40 minutes of play time.
Completing this challenge awards the player the Penetrator Tee.
Retro Master[]
This challenge requires the player to complete the challenges for Defender of the Faith, Monkey's Paradise and Penetrator. Check the challenge description of each of these three arcade games and complete all of them to finish this challenge.
Completing this challenge awards the player the Defender of the Faith Tee.
