The Palace of Westminster is a location in Grand Theft Auto: London 1969 and Grand Theft Auto: London 1961.

Description[]

In real life, it is the meeting place of the House of Commons and the House of Lords, the two houses of the Parliament of the United Kingdom. The palace lies on the north bank of the River Thames in Westminster, in central London.

The Elizabeth Tower in particular, often referred to by the name of its main bell, Big Ben, has become an iconic landmark of London and of the United Kingdom in general, and is one of the most popular tourist attractions in the city.

The sounds of the Big Ben are used in the menu of both GTA London 1969 and 1961.

Events of Grand Theft Auto: London 1969[]

In 1969, the GTA London Protagonist kidnaps a group of tourists in a Tour Bus in front of the Palace of Westminster to cause a distraction for the Metropolitan Police Service while Jack Parkinson is kidnapping a Member of Parliament.
