Top of the Town is an Open Wheel Race featured in Grand Theft Auto Online as part of the Los Santos Summer Special update, released on August 11, 2020. It is available for up to 16 players.
Description[]
The race is a 26 checkpoint long Lap race, default to 10 laps. The pit lane is located between checkpoints 24 and 1.
The players start on the short pit straight facing northwest. When the race begins, the racers soon come to a right turn, which is followed by a short straight. What follows is a left-hand corner, immediately followed by a left hairpin turn, leading the players onto an elevated, straight piece of track. They then circle around the Maze Bank Tower and race down a short straight, before turning left onto a straight piece of track that descends to a lower level.
After this, there is a fast right-hander, followed by a left-hand hairpin turn. The players then race around a relatively short, sweeping left-hander, a right-hand kink, and a tighter left-hand corner. After a short straight section, there is a right hairpin turn at checkpoint 17, leading the players down a long straight, which passes under a bridge and also descends to a lower level.
Following the straight, there are a pair of high-speed corners, followed by a left-hand hairpin turn, after which the players make their way up a short uphill section. Finally, there are two 90-degree corners, after which the player come to the pit straight, where the start/finish line is also located.
