Road to Ruin is an Open Wheel Race featured in Grand Theft Auto Online as part of the Los Santos Summer Special update, released on August 11, 2020. It is available for up to 16 players.
Description[]
The race is a 26 checkpoint long Lap race, default to 10 laps. The pit lane is located between checkpoints 20 and 22.
The race takes place around the motorway junction in Murrieta Heights. The players start on the home straight, made up of the Elysian Fields Freeway and Del Perro Freeway. When the race starts, they race north down the motorway and around some obstacles placed on the road. At checkpoint 5, there is a left-hand hairpin turn which leads the racers onto the slip ramps of the junction. A few more hairpin turns follow, after which the players race east down the Olympic Freeway for a short while, before coming to another hairpin turn, which leads them back towards the junction.
Racing on the slip ramps, the players come to another set of hairpin turns at checkpoints 17 and 18, after which comes a high-speed section, where the pits are also located. At checkpoints 23 and 24, the players briefly race on Innocence Boulevard, where two 90-degree corners are located, after which the racers continue onto the slip ramp leading them back onto the motorway and down the main straight, where the start/finish line is also located.
