The O'Neil Ranch is a ranch located in Grapeseed, Blaine County in Grand Theft Auto V and Grand Theft Auto Online.

Description[]

The ranch is bordered by the Senora Freeway, Grapeseed Avenue, Grapeseed Cow Farm and O'Neil Way. The property consists of mixed farming, including:

There is a large farmhouse, barn, stables, equipment sheds and grain storage silos.

The main house originally was a luxurious home, but by the events of Grand Theft Auto V it is messy and in a state of disrepair.

History[]

Events of Grand Theft Auto Online in 2013[]

Heists[]

It is owned by the O'Neil brothers, a family of inbred, redneck meth dealers, who use the basement of the farm's main house for meth cooking. In GTA Online, it can only be entered during the heist setup mission Series A - Steal Meth and some other game modes.

Events of Grand Theft Auto V[]

The main house is attacked and destroyed by Trevor Philips during the mission Crystal Maze, after Elwood O'Neil stole his contract with the Los Santos Triads, killing most of the farm's residents in the process. It remained abandoned and burned out following this.

Events of Grand Theft Auto Online[]

The Cayo Perico Heist[]

As of 2020, during the events of The Cayo Perico Heist, the ranch house has been repaired, and it is accessible to the player during the mission Heist Prep: Demolition Charges.

During this mission, the O'Neil brothers are keeping high density demolition charges in the ranch house's basement, that being the only source of such equipment in the whole state, as of 2020. Pavel managed to track down the demolition charges to the O'Neil brothers in Blaine County, and sends the GTA Online Protagonist to retrieve the equipment, required for The Cayo Perico Heist.

On the way to the ranch, Pavel makes multiple double entendres on the fact that the O'Neils are said to be an inbred hillbilly family. In one of his jokes, he states that if the O'Neils have a normal brain, they would store the demolition charges in a cool, dark place within the house (basement), otherwise their ranch house would be a "smoldering crater in the desert" at this point.

This is a reference to their previous 2013 ranch house being blown up entirely due to their own incompetence – setting up a meth lab in the basement of their own ranch house and storing inflammable substances used in meth manufacturing.

Trivia[]

  • In Grand Theft Auto V, if Trevor returns sometime after Crystal Maze, the house will revert to normal, as if Trevor never did anything to it. This is presumably an oversight.
