Not to be confused with Thermal Vision.
Night-Vision Goggles are a tool available in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas and Grand Theft Auto Online. Equipping them modifies the player's world view to a greenish appearance, allowing them to see more clearly in dark environments.
Overview
Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas
The night-vision goggles share the exact model and HUD icon as the thermal vision goggles. After equipping the goggles, it is possible switch to another weapon and even drive vehicles while retaining the effects. As observed in the mission End of The Line, sources of bright light such as fire can obscure the player's vision while under the goggles' effects.
Grand Theft Auto Online
Night Vision was added in Grand Theft Auto Online as part of the Heists Update. It is used in the The Humane Labs Raid to raid the facility, where the power was shut down by an EMP. It can be used by the player by buying it from Ammu-Nation and activate it from the Interaction Menu. It comes paired with a unique black balaclava with 2-holes.
Locations
Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas
The goggles only spawn after completing the mission Breaking the Bank at Caligula's.
- East Los Santos, Los Santos - Inside Big Smoke's Crack Den, in the warehouse area.
- Mulholland, Los Santos - Inside Madd Dogg's Crib, towards the kitchen behind the stairs that lead to the bedrooms.
- Foster Valley, San Fierro - Along one of the brick alleyways.
- Area 69, Bone County - On a watchtower platform (Instant 5-Star Wanted Level).
- Sherman Dam, Tierra Robada - In generator hall.
Grand Theft Auto Online
- Available for purchase for $17,500 from the gear counter in Ammu-Nation.

Trivia
Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas
- If the player has the goggles on and plays an arcade game, when they finish the game Carl will still be wearing the goggles but the night vision feature will be off. This also occurs with the Thermal Vision goggles.
Grand Theft Auto V
- While night vision goggles aren't available to the player, Jimmy De Santa wears them during the mission Meltdown and the night vision effect briefly features when the game is viewed from Jimmy's perspective.
Grand Theft Auto Online
- There is a bug regarding Night Vision goggles when activating them removes Ammu-Nation, Clothing Stores and Tattoo Parlors icons from the map and makes the stores unavailable.[1]
