For the character in Grand Theft Auto IV, see Tony Mountebank.

The Mountebank Gallery is an art gallery in Grand Theft Auto V and Grand Theft Auto Online .

Description[]

The gallery is located on Hawick Avenue and Power Street in Alta, Los Santos, sitting on the opposite corner of the Oeuvre Gallery. In the windows, the gallery shows its opening hours and advertises one of its collections inside, Chris Udanboji's "Pieces of Matter: 2007 - 2008". The interior of the gallery is fully modeled but inaccessible. The art pieces inside follow a similar artstyle used in the Pieces of Matter advertisement and are presumably part of Chris Udanboji's collection.

Outside the gallery, there is a walkway connected to Hawick Avenue that features a staircase leading down to a rear alleyway. The path continues to lead to a broken railing, serving as a vehicle jump from the walkway to the lower parking lot on Occupation Avenue. The rear alleyway connects to Power Street.

The structure is a scaled-down version of the structure used to house the San Andreas Gallery of Modern Art in nearby Burton.

The gallery also appears to have published some of their collections in a book, which can be found on shelves in the De Santa Residence and 3671 Whispymound Drive in Grand Theft Auto V and the GTA Online Protagonist's apartments in Grand Theft Auto Online.

Influence[]

As with the San Andreas Gallery of Modern Art, the building is based on 8300 Melrose Avenue in Los Angeles.

A Mountebank is "a person who deceives others, especially in order to trick them out of their money".
