The Ming Family (明家) is one of the three Triad families in Liberty City that makes a minor appearance in Grand Theft Auto IV and is featured in Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars.
Description[]
The family is led by Zhou Ming, and is said to be the weakest of the three Triad Families. Zhou's Triad controls a nightclub in East Island City and an RS Haul warehouse in Fishmarket North, which is attacked by Patrick McReary and Niko Bellic during the mission Harboring a Grudge. While his gang cannot be found in Fishmarket North outside missions, the gang's purple Hellenbaches can be found parked outside the warehouse.
The gang is involved with a Bank of Liberty robbery in Chinatown in 2009, covered up by the Chinese festivities occurring at the same time in the neighborhood.
However, Zhou Ming's Triad gang lose most of their influence when Zhou and Chan are framed as rats within the Triads by a phony FIB file. Wu "Kenny" Lee is given the leader position of the Liberty City Triads by Hsin Jaoming as soon as he retires. On his first day as the leader, he orders the death of both Zhou Ming and Chan Jaoming, a task that Huang Lee takes on.
