Margot Bistrot Café is a café in Grand Theft Auto III, located in Chinatown, Portland, Liberty City.
Description[]
The sign says "bar a vin", indicating that it is a café serving wine as well as coffee. The store is inaccessible to the player and plays no role in the storyline whatsoever.
In 1998, during the events of Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories, the business is absent and its place is occupied by Ahhh, Bistro.
Influence[]
The café is based on the real-life café with an identical name and storefront, with a part of the phone number erased. The real-life business was located on 26 Prince Street, New York. Furthermore, it served French cuisine.[1][2][3][4][5][6][7]
Trivia[]
- In re-released versions of the game, as well as PS2 classic versions, the "Margot" in the name of the restaurant is blurred out, perhaps due to an undisclosed settlement.
