Maracas is a fashion store in Los Santos, San Andreas appearing in Grand Theft Auto V.

Description

Maracas is one of the high-end stores on Portola Drive with display windows featuring posters and finely dressed mannequins. The store is inaccessible to the player and plays no part in the story.

Location

Influence

The brand's real life equivalent is not known, as no known high fashion brands seem to use the Bodoni Poster Italic Script font used in their logo. The brand may have Spanish or Mexican origins as Maracas are Spanish instruments, but can also be used as a slang term for breasts.

The building appears to be a negative colored replica of 400 North Rodeo Drive, occupied in real life by Chanel.

There's a possibility it may be inspired by Rochas by French designer Marcel Rochas, being that Maracas is a near perfect portmanteau of the designer's name. Although the name is Spanish, this is further enforced by the fact that the real life building is occupied by another French fashion designer.
