A spoiler is an element of disseminated revealing plot or end details of a Grand Theft Auto title, either in part or by whole. These may diminish enjoyment of the game for users who have not yet played or completed it.
It goes without saying that, as a wiki containing information pertaining to the Grand Theft Auto series, GTA Wiki will contain spoilers, however it is our aim, as editors, to ensure that spoilers are clearly marked if they are found somewhere users would not expect them to be.
Articles or content relevant to the game's storyline or plot will naturally contain spoilers, and thus do not need to be marked as containing spoilers. This would include articles for game titles, articles covering game plot, and main story character and mission articles.
Marking articles as containing spoilers
A template adding a notice for text containing spoilers can be added at the top of the article or section relevant to spoilers using {{Spoiler}}.
If only a section of the article contains spoilers, an "end of spoilers" notice may be added at the end of the section using {{Spoiler|end}}
, to notify users that spoilers are over.
