Overview[]

The basics[]

These are the fundamentals to a good wiki article:

  • Read through the relevant article layout to determine how to structure an article.
  • Ensure all information is accurate and can be verified by in-game content or reliable sources (see MOS:REF).
  • Avoid speculation and rumors unless clearly marked as such (see MOS:TOPHAT).
  • Use clear, straightforward language and avoid opinions (see MOS:TONE).
  • Use a balance of body text for descriptions and lists for important details to enhance readability (see MOS:BODY and MOS:LIST).
  • Use galleries with high-quality images (see MOS:FILE and MOS:GALLERY).

Consistency[]

These help make articles easier to find and maintain:

  • Follow consistent naming conventions and terminology used within the game (see MOS:NAME).
  • Use standardized sections and heading titles (see MOS:HEAD).
  • Use standard date formats and units of measurement (see MOS:DATE).
  • Use American English or British English where possible (see MOS:SPELLING and MOS:GRAMMAR).
  • Determine whether the article should be split into multiple articles (see MOS:SPLIT).

Quick tips[]

These spruce up articles and help make meaningful connections around the wiki:

  • Use internal links to connect to related articles within the wiki, and external links to related topics outside of the wiki (see MOS:LINK).
  • Make use of tables, infoboxes an navigation boxes (see MOS:TABLE, MOS:INFOBOX and MOS:NAVBOX).
  • Mark articles containing spoilers (see MOS:SPOILER).
  • Avoid cluttering articles with Trivia where possible (see MOS:TRIVIA).
  • Avoid focusing on what does, did or will not happen (see MOS:DIDNT).
  • Regularly check back and update articles with new information from game updates, DLCs, or official announcements.
