Wikipedia has an article on: Pam Grier

Pamela Suzette "Pam" Grier, also known as Mama G (born May 26, 1949 in Winston-Salem, North Carolina), is an American actress and voice actress.

Career[]

Grier was a successful blaxploitation actress in the 70s and her career was later revitalized by Quentin Tarantino's movie Jackie Brown, which earned her a Golden Globe award.

She provided the voice of herself as the DJ on the classic soul station The Lowdown 91.1 in Grand Theft Auto V and Grand Theft Auto Online.

GTA Works[]

Trivia[]

  • Her character in the film Jackie Brown is an enthusiast of The Delfonics, whose songs "Ready or Not Here I Come (Can't Hide From Love)" and "Funny Feeling" appear on The Lowdown track list.
  • Another song from the Jackie Brown soundtrack, "Street Life" by Randy Crawford and The Crusaders, was eventually added into the enhanced version of WorldWide FM, creating another, though likely unintentional, reference to the film.
