MF DOOM was one of the most "celebrated, unpredictable and enigmatic figures" according to the Variety magazine. Known for his intricate wordplay, signature metal mask, and "supervillain" stage persona, Dumile became a major figure of underground hip hop and alternative hip hop in the 2000s.
He worked with Ghostface Killah and Oh No to produce the theme song for Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars and The Chocolate Conquistadors for the official soundtrack album of The Cayo Perico Heist update in Grand Theft Auto Online.
Death[]
On December 31, 2020, Dumile's wife, Jasmine, announced on social media that he had died on October 31. His representative confirmed the death. The cause of death was not announced until 2023, when she revealed that Dumile had died from angioedema, a rare reaction to a blood pressure medication he had been recently prescribed.
