Lunar New Year - The Big Bash

The Big Bash is a Lunar New Year Stunt Race featured in Grand Theft Auto Online as part of the Agents of Sabotage update, released on January 23, 2025. It is available for 1 to 16 players.

The race is a 50 checkpoint long Lap race, default to 2 laps.

The starting grid is on a track piece raised slightly above Vespucci Boulevard, with the racers facing east. Once the race begins, the racers proceed down a short straight and then start climbing a steeply ascending piece of track. They jump through a set of floating lanterns and onto another track piece at a lower level. They continue down a straight piece of track that starts ascending, eventually wrapping around the Maze Bank Tower, creating a 180-degree left-hand corner, and starts descending down to a slightly lower level.

The track ascends slightly again, leading the racers around a banked 180-degree right-hander, before starting to descend again around a sweeping left-hand turn. The racers go around a right-hand bend after the Tinkle Building and continue descending to ground level. They leave the track and race through the tunnel on Integrity Way; a yellow track piece begins at the second half of the tunnel, leading the players onto a raised piece of track beginning after the tunnel. There is a right-hand corner, after which they proceed down the track raised above Strawberry Avenue. There is a boost pad placed on the left side of the track, after which they come to a 90-degree corner that leads them above San Andreas Avenue.

The racers continue down a relatively long straight and then use a ramp to jump through one of the openings in the middle of the raised part of the avenue, landing on an ascending piece of track after going through a set of floating lanterns. After a right kink, the players continue around a long sweeping right-hand corner, which turns into a left-hander before the Maze Bank Tower. The track levels off after passing a paifang arch, but soon starts ascending again while it wraps around the FIB Headquarters. What follows is a very long section of track which continually sweeps left and goes around the IAA Headquarters and Union Depository buildings, before again coming past the FIB building, near the top. Continuing to turn left, the track becomes banked and passes the IAA building again, after which it slightly descends and comes to a short straight passing the Maze Bank Tower.

A steep ramp follows the straight, which the racers use to jump above the Mile High Club, going through another set of floating lanterns and landing on a sloped yellow platform. They continue to the end of the platform and around a left-hand corner, before coming to a long sweeping left-hand corner, the track eventually leading the racers back towards the Mile High Club and through one of the top floors of the construction site. The track begins ascending, and the racers proceed around a right-hand turn and then up a long ascending piece of track leading past the Mile High Club again. The track begins bending to the left and slowly starts banking until proceeding at almost a 90-degree angle; it then starts descending and loses the banking.

The players proceed past the Maze Bank Tower again, before going around an ascending right-hand corner and continuing to climb to a higher level. Once the racers reach heights above all the building in the city, the track ends in a big jump after a paifang arch, leading them through a set of floating lanterns and onto a sloped, descending yellow platform. The platform ends and the racers proceed down a descending track piece that soon levels off and starts ascending again. There is a banked 180-degree corner soon after, which leads into a descent that brings the racers to the straight with the start/finish line.
