Lucia Caminos is a character due to appear as one of the protagonists in Grand Theft Auto VI.
Lucia debuts as the first major, non-selectable female protagonist with a voice actress. She is often erroneously described as the first female protagonist in the Grand Theft Auto series[2]; Lucia is the eighth female protagonist chronologically, following numerous silent and optional female protagonists in the first Grand Theft Auto, Grand Theft Auto 2 and Grand Theft Auto Online.
Her voice actress is yet to be officially revealed.
Background
Life has been coming at her swinging ever since. Fighting for her family landed her in the Leonida Penitentiary. Sheer luck got her out. Lucia’s learned her lesson — only smart moves from here.
More than anything, Lucia wants the good life her mom has dreamed of since their days in Liberty City — but instead of half-baked fantasies, Lucia is prepared to take matters into her own hands.
A life with Jason could be her way out.
Fresh out of prison and ready to change the odds in her favor, Lucia’s committed to her plan — no matter what it takes.”
Lucia is a female criminal, serving her sentence at the Leonida Penitentiary in Vice-Dale County, Leonida, in the mid-2020s for an unspecified crime.
At the time of her incarceration, it appears that Stefanie was assigned as her correctional social worker.
Influence
As per the context of the first trailer showing Lucia and Jason robbing various places across the State of Leonida, the duo appears to be inspired by the real-life American criminals Bonnie and Clyde, the former being also previously used as the inspiration for Catalina in the 3D Universe of the Grand Theft Auto series.

Trivia
- Lucia shares a few traits with Katie, one of the protagonists in the first Grand Theft Auto, who is also depicted as a Latina and has a crime record in Vice City from the 2D Universe canon, albeit she shares her crime record with the other protagonists.
- Her character is also very similar to Sadie Adler from Red Dead Redemption 2, as she is a female robber, is a companion to the male protagonist, and both are proficient with firearms.
- Lucia is the seventh female protagonist in the Grand Theft Auto series to date, along with Katie, Ulrika, Mikki, Divine, Candy, Gretchen and the GTA Online Protagonist. She is also the first to have full voice acting.
