Toni drops by Donald Love's, who informs him that Miles O'Donovan has evidence connecting him to Salvatore Leone. Toni agrees to retrieve the evidence and meets one of Donald's men at the underpass in Newport. He informs Toni that the evidence is being guarded in Staunton's dockland area by some of O'Donovan's men. Toni enters the complex, killing all of O'Donovan's men and taking the van back to the garage at Donald's apartment.
“I can't believe the sacrifices I've made for this town, and do you know what my weakness has been the entire time...? Humility! And now I'm ruined. BANKRUPT! $20 million in the hole. Gone... bankrupt... done... Arriverderci! BANKRUPT!”
Toni goes inside to tell Donald, who informs Toni that he has been beaten by O'Donovan in the race to become Mayor of Liberty City due to the news reporting his affiliation with him and the Leone Crime Family, and has gone bankrupt, blaming him for his downfall as Toni leaves Donald ranting on his fall from grace. Following this Toni receives a phone call from McAffrey, who tells him Salvatore's been jailed. Not wanting to be connected to Salvatore, McAffrey cuts ties to Toni and tells him to never contact him again.
There is no monetary reward for completing the mission, though the mission Rough Justice is unlocked. The player may now access Shoreside Vale and save their game at the Shoreside Vale safehouse. It is now also possible for the player to attain a six-star wanted level.
Toni, you gotta help me! O'Donovan's got evidence linking me to Salvatore, we're sunk!
Toni:
Calm down, evidence goes missing every day. Not to mention judges, witnesses, jurors...
Donald (Voice only):
I'd hoped you'd see it that way. One of my men has been following the guy with the evidence. He'll meet you under the overpass in Newport.
Toni goes to find an Esperanto located under the overpass in Newport and gets into the car.
Informant:
Ah, Toni. The evidence is in that van up ahead. You have to fight your way in. Get the van back to DL's. Good luck!
Toni leaves the car as Donald's informant drives away. Toni fights through several of Miles O'Donovan's supporters and gets the van with incriminating evidence. Toni delivers the van to the Love Media Building in Bedford Point. Later that day, Toni goes to see Donald in his office.
Toni:
Hey Don - I took care of that mess for you. Everything should be cool now.
Donald:
Really?
Toni:
You got no more links to organized crime, you're whiter than white. You could be the Pope!
Donald:
(chuckles in disbelief) The Pope! Watch this.
Donald turns on the TV, showing the results of the election.
Although no links can be proven between Donald Love and Liberty City's organized crime, it seems his friendship with mobsters, including Toni Cipriani, have counted heavily against him in voters' eyes. The past few hours have seen his popularity plummet. He is deemed, it seems, unfit for office...
Donald turns the TV off.
Donald:
Unfit! Because of you... Yeah. And it's all your fault.
Toni:
My fault?
Donald:
Oh yeah.
Toni:
My fault?
Donald:
(chuckles) I can't believe the sacrifices I've made for this town, and do you know what my weakness has been the entire time...? Humility! (chuckles) And now I'm ruined. BANKRUPT! $20 million in the hole. Gone... bankrupt... done... Arriverderci! BANKRUPT!

Militant strikers have finally dropped their placards and taken up their usual post of employment after the freshly inaugurated mayor Donovan made them this promise at a local rally.
Miles O'Donovan:
As your mayor, I can guarantee there will always be a ferry service in Liberty City.

But some may find his promise has a somewhat hollow ring as work on the new Porter Road Tunnel continues unabated.

Trivia[]
No "Mission Passed" soundtrack plays after this mission on the PSP version.
The enemies share their models with regular pedestrians found around Liberty City, most of them are street criminals and dock workers but there are also some Sindacco Crime Family members who tried to stop Toni. Due to the enemies having AK-47s, escaping with the slow van from them is difficult as the AK-47 easily destroys a car.
