For the band in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, see Love Fist (3D Universe).
Love Fist is a Scottish heavy metal band in the HD Universe of the Grand Theft Auto series, first mentioned in Grand Theft Auto IV and Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars.
A single member of the band, Willie, also appears in Grand Theft Auto V. Artworks and memorabilia of the band appears in Grand Theft Auto Online.
Description[]
The band is comprised of Jezz Torrent ("Jizz" if said with a Scottish accent, a slang term for semen), Willie, Dick, and Percy (all slang terms for penis).
In Grand Theft Auto IV, the band seem to be booked to play the SuperStar Café in The Triangle in Liberty City. The band play a one night only gig at Tequi-la-la in Los Santos in 2013.
In 2013, during the events of Grand Theft Auto V, Willie can be overheard talking to a 20-year-old groupie revealing the effects of old age on the band members. The band manager mentions that the band members like Yoga and probiotics.
Inspiration[]
The name "Love Fist" is a reference to fisting, an extreme form of penetration.
The band may have been inspired by '70s British rock group The Sweet because the music style and vocals are similar. Love Fist’s appearance and lyrics seem to parody those of 1980s heavy metal bands, specifically NWoBHM bands and American hair metal bands, such as Poison, L.A. Guns, and Warrant.
The album The Number of the Breast is an obvious parody of the Iron Maiden album The Number of the Beast.
History[]
Events of Grand Theft Auto IV[]
Grand Theft Auto IV demonstrated that Love Fist also exists in the HD Universe. The Superstar Café in The Triangle has an illuminated sign above the entrance that says, "SuperStar. Starring.. The Mighty.. Love Fist." Lazlow Jones often mentions the band on Integrity 2.0 and, on the in-game Fistfans.com website (for people who literally love fisting), there is a notice about how they are in a legal dispute with the Love Fist band over the domain name and that Jezz Torrent has apparently "found God". A Love Fist poster hangs on the wall inside Bucky Sligo's house.
Events of Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars[]
In Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars, Love Fist is still mentioned in the illuminated sign above the Superstar Café's entrance in The Triangle.
Events of Grand Theft Auto V[]
Love Fist have a star on the Vinewood Walk of Fame.
Band member Willie appears in a side mission where Trevor must knock out his gold tooth and bring it to Nigel as a souvenir. Willie can be killed in this mission, and if Trevor does kill him, he will say "Oops, sorry Love Fist fans." It is also possible to see the entourage of the band during the mission, one of then being the manager of Love Fist and the other probably the song writer, as he says he has been "heavily involved with the creative process" of the band.
In addition, Trevor is able to buy a black muscle shirt from Vespucci Movie Masks with a Love Fist logo on the front which he is seen wearing in several official promotional screenshots. Love Fist is also shown on a GTA V promotional artwork, on a woman's t-shirt as she is being arrested by Vasquez. Jezz Torrent is mentioned in Fame or Shame; he apparently went solo and one of his songs is sung by an act.
Events of Grand Theft Auto Online[]
A Love Fist T-shirt can be purchased by the GTA Online Protagonist, and Trevor Philips appears wearing the Love Fist muscle shirt in the Series A Funding mission.
As part of The Diamond Casino & Resort update, the player can buy the Love Fist Guitar, which was played by Jezz Torrent, to decorate their Master Penthouse.
A Love Fist tattoo is available as part of The Diamond Casino Heist update.
The Los Santos Summer Special update includes a Love Fist livery for the Youga Classic 4x4.
The San Andreas Mercenaries update includes a Love Fist livery for the Brigham.
