The Los Santos Vagos-Varrios Los Aztecas War was a gang war in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. It was a conflict between two hispanic gangs, the Los Santos Vagos and the Varrios Los Aztecas.
Before the War[]
At one point, years before the event of GTA San Andreas, the two gangs possibly had a misunderstanding, sparking their bloody rivalry.
Beginning of the War and Decline[]
At the beginning of the game, the Vagos were much stronger than the Aztecas, having control of northern and eastern parts of South Central Los Santos, meanwhile the Aztecas occupied the southwestern portion of South Central. The radio announcer of Radio Los Santos claims the fighting was primarily happening in East Los Santos, despite this area actually being controlled by the Ballas in-game. Later on, the Aztecas gang leader Cesar Vialpando leaves the city of Los Santos with Carl Johnson, as the Vagos, and their allies, the Ballas, had taken over all the gang territory in Los Santos.
The End of the War[]
Eventually, Cesar, Carl, and the three high-ranking members of the Aztecas (Sunny, Gal and Hazer) fought against the Vagos throughout El Corona Village, starting from the train station and ending at Cesar's house. A big shootout between the two gangs ensued, leaving many of Vagos' members dead and the Varrios retaking control of El Corona.
