- The London Mafia is based on the real-world organized crime group "the Firm". This correlation is especially present when the Crisp Twins are compared with the Kray Twins – Reginald and Ronald Kray, who racketeered in London in the 1950s and 1960s.[1]

The impression I got from him was that it was going to be full of jokes, cockney slang, caricatures of the Krays, etc. Greg Bick always tried to inject comedy in his game designs, so there would have been zero resistance there anyway.”—Ray Larabie – "THE MAKING OF GTA London, Rockstar's Daring Detour Into The Swinging Sixties", TimeExtension (November 29, 2022)
