The Land Mine is a weapon that was cut from Grand Theft Auto III and Grand Theft Auto Advance, appearing as leftovers in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, and as an unused functional weapon in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories.
Description[]
The Land Mine is a device that works like a bomb and will only go off when touched by a pedestrian or vehicle. In all of its appearances, it is a small, disk-like device of a green color.
Model and textures for the weapon still remain in Grand Theft Auto III's game files (mine.dff and mine.txd). The same files can also be found in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City's game files, suggesting that the weapon was dropped again. Although the weapon was cut in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas there is still a game file mentioning it (mine.dff), but it doesn't have a texture. The radio station inside Ammu-Nation stores advertises land mines. A functional version of the weapon can be obtained with a cheat device in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories.
The Land Mine was originally intended as a multiplayer-exclusive vehicle weapon in Grand Theft Auto Advance. The item was removed along with the game's multiplayer feature.[1] There are no leftovers of the weapon in the game files.
