Slater is never mentioned by any character in the game, nor does he ever physically appear.
The only means of contact for Slater is to dial 3285550145 on the in-game phone, and it will go to his voicemail in which he states his full name and rank. If Trevor has him in his contacts list, sending him a photo of a carcass while Hunting will trigger a response.[1] While not directly confirmed in-game, the leftover contact icon name implies that he is homosexual.[2]
Events of Grand Theft Auto V[]
Slater would appear in the fourth[3][4] Hitch Lift random event. He could be found at the intersection of Cholla Road and Panorama Drive across from Sandy Shores Airfield,[5][6] asking to be taken to the base entrance[7] for him to sneak back in.[8] The player had two hours[9] to take Slater back to the base before, presumably, being caught missing.[8]
Once dropped off, he would thank the player[10] and give them his number[11] along with $50[12]. Unlike most hitch-hikers, Trevor would not be able to take him to the Altruist Cult.[13] His in-game appearance would be that of a generic Marine[14] with a pre-determined ped component variation setup.[15]
