Kronos is a Swiss watch manufacturer featured in both the 3D Universe and HD Universe.
Description
3D Universe
None of Kronos' stores appears in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, but they are one of the sponsors on the Hotring Racer cars and the ProLaps White watch is manufactured by Kronos. This watch appears on a billboard in Shoreside Vale, Liberty City in Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories, with the caption "The end of time".
Kronos is more prominent in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories, with a store in Downtown Vice City and its logo appearing on vans around the city. Kronos clocks and watches can also be found within the game. Some adverts in Downtown and Escobar International Airport advertise the Kronos "Twatch" (a portmanteau of "twat", a derogatory British term, and "watch"), which appears to be a digital calculator watch, which were popular in the 1980s.
HD Universe
The company has one known watch that is advertised in Grand Theft Auto IV and Grand Theft Auto V: "The Gigante". In addition, a fully functional Kronos wall clock can be found in the South Bohan Safehouse, as well as various other interiors such as Oleg Minkov's apartment. Kronos has its own store on Elgin Avenue near Legion Square, in Los Santos.
It is suggested that by 2013, Kronos has a rivalry with the more luxurious brand Crowex, as the inscriptions for Crowex watches that can be bought in Grand Theft Auto Online claim that they are willing to pay more for product placement than Kronos.
In GTA Online, organizations can store and sell looted Kronos watches. Several clubhouse locations also feature Kronos clocks in their offices. The Online Protagonist can also purchase Kronos watches from the The Diamond Casino & Resort store.
Influence
Kronos appears to be based on Swatch and Casio. The design of the Twatch model seen in Vice City Stories appears to be based on a Casio calculator watch.

- The "Kronos" name a derivative of "χρόνος" (chrónos), a Greek term for time.
- In GTA Vice City Stories, the Kronos Twatch is advertised as "Time doesn't have to cost money", likely a reference to Swatch being a relatively affordable Swiss watch manufacturer, as well as the low price of typical Casio watches.
