King Knuts

King Knuts is a fast food chain featured in Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories and Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories.

Description[]

The branches are inaccessible in Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories. The same goes for Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories, though one branch can be accessed during the mission The Audition.

It is implied that it went out of business by 2000, as all of its locations have been replaced by the competitors.

Locations[]

Liberty City

By 2001, the setting of Grand Theft Auto III, the King Knuts branches have been replaced by Bolt Burgers outlets.

Vice City

By 1986, the setting of Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, the King Knuts branches in Downtown and Little Haiti have been replaced by outlets of the Well Stacked Pizza Company while the restaurant at the Vice Point Mall has been replaced with the eastern food court locations of Beef Bandit and Shaft Hot Dogs.

Influence[]

It is an obvious parody of Burger King mimicking the name and even using the same font as its real-world counterpart. The name is a clear reference to King Canute a Danish king who ruled over England during the 11th century, a further play on Burger King.
