The Kaufman Cab is a vehicle in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City.
Design[]
Grand Theft Auto: Vice City[]
The Kaufman Cab is essentially a Cabbie with "Kaufman Cabs" markings on each side. It retains the yellow livery for the body and the gray secondary color for the bumpers and rims.
Prior to the Kaufman Cabs missions, the Kaufman Cab features a standard radio. Following the last mission this is replaced by the dispatch radio, which Kaufman Cabs dispatcher Doris uses to communicate with the company's drivers.
Performance[]
Grand Theft Auto: Vice City[]
The Kaufman Cab is mostly identical to the Cabbie, with the exception of a slightly lighter mass, resulting in a slightly higher acceleration. Top speed remains the same as the Cabbie.
Like the regular Cabbie, it uses a petrol engine and a four-speed gearbox that powers the rear wheels. However, its engine sound is different, having that of a high-performance engine.

- It appears as a Trip Skip option in Spilling the Beans, to take Tommy from the Print Works to the Malibu Club.
- It also appears as a Trip Skip option in front of a hospital or a police station when the player fails any mission by getting Wasted or Busted (the only exceptions are all missions given by Mr. Black).

- It can be found around the city.
- One is parked inside the Kaufman Cabs depot in Little Haiti after purchasing the business. It is replaced by the Zebra Cab after completing the Kaufman Cabs mission Cabmaggedon.
Trivia[]
- Just like the Taxi, Cabbie and Zebra Cab in the Definitive Edition, $12 is given to the player once Tommy enters the car.
- The name 'Kaufman Cab' is a reference to comedian Andy Kaufman, who was a popular side character in the 1978 TV sitcom Taxi. The show features taxis similar in appearance to the game model.
