For the vehicle in Grand Theft Auto Online, see Swinger.

The Jug Swinger is a sports car in Grand Theft Auto: London 1969 and Grand Theft Auto: London 1961.

Design[]

The Jug Swinger is designed as a convertible sports car with a Union Jack paint job. The car is an open top variant of the Jaguar E-Type-based Jugular E, although the Jug Swinger features minor differences on the frontal fascia and a more angular back.

The car may also be based on the "Shaguar" from the "Austin Powers" movies, as it is completely identical to it and the Austin Powers version has the numberplate "Swinger". The name of the car reflects the "swinging" lifestyle of the 1960s, when the UK's youth were experiencing a sexual revolution.

Performance[]

The Jug Swinger's performance is considerably above average, with good top speed, acceleration, braking and handling, improved turning, and average grip.

Locations[]

Whilst unlisted in GTA London 1961, the Jug Swinger does occasionally appear in traffic in the game and even appears as a destination to initiate a new mission string. In this game, the Jug Swinger is replaced by the Jug D Type, whereas the Jug MkII has been replaced by the Jug Swinger, as evidenced by the same engine and horn sound and the fact that the Swinger does not play background music in this game, but the D Type does.

Rewards[]

  • The car's base import value is lower than the Jugular E's, fetching only £600 in mint condition.

Trivia[]

  • When entering the Jug Swinger owned by secret agent Endeavour Chambers, the James Bond-like music track named "GTA Spy Theme" will play. During the same mission, the same music will play when inside the ICBM.
  • In London 1969, the car plays a loop of BOOK 'EM (Murder One), featured on Radio 7. In London 1961, however, there's no music loop coming from the car, as it's reserved for the Jug D Type.
  • The official GTA London website refers the Jug Swinger as "Flashy Convertable".[1] It could be his early development name.
