"John Doe" is an unidentified character in the Grand Theft Auto series, appearing in Grand Theft Auto Online as part of the Los Santos Summer Special update.

On November 19, 2020, his corpse and a briefcase appeared on the southwest coast of Los Santos at a random location ranging from Vespucci Beach to Los Santos International Airport. Rockstar Games tweeted a ten-second video clip entitled the El Rubio Dossier [1] which identified the corpse as John Doe, a common placeholder name for people whose identity is either unknown or classified.
