Victor receives a pager message from the VCTN, who explains that a family member is arriving in Vice City to help him. As Victor waits at the airport, he is greeted by his younger brother Lance. Victor is not especially pleased to see Lance, whom he views as more of a hindrance than a help, but after a brief argument he agrees to take Lance to his hotel.
Victor and Lance get into a red Stinger and drive away from the airport. A short time later, a Cholo Sabre pulls up in front of them and some Cholos alight and threaten to kill Vic.
At this point, Lance takes the wheel and drives away from the airport, over a ramp and into Little Havana whilst Vic kills the pursuing Cholos using a Micro SMG with unlimited ammo. The chase continues through Little Havana until Lance drives over another ramp in Little Haiti. The Stinger lands in a back alley and catches fire, with Vic and Lance managing to escape before it explodes.
The Vance brothers now find themselves in the alley surrounded by Cholos. They manage to kill the Cholos and fight their way back onto the street. At this point, more Cholos appear, along with the VCPD. Now with a two-star wanted level, Vic and Lance steal a nearby vehicle and escape from the Cholos and the police. Once in the clear, Vic drives Lance to his hotel in Downtown.
Mission Objectives[]
In order to complete the mission the player must:
Fight off those attackers while Lance drives.
Kill those remaining attackers. Lance must survive.
The attackers are all wasted! Now take Lance to his hotel.
Post-Mission Pager Message[]
Umberto: So you're running Marty's gang now. We need to talk...
Soon, Victor and Lance encounter more Cholos along the way.
Lance:
Look out, Vic, there's more of them!
Victor shoots at more Cholos as Lance drives towards the Print Works.
Lance:
Do you have any friends in this town?!
Victor shoots at more Cholos coming their way as Lance drives through the drain in Little Haiti, with some Cholos coming after them on bikes.
Lance:
Shit, they're everywhere!
Victor shoots at more Cholos as Lance drives towards the Cholo Warehouse and comes across a ramp.
Lance:
One more Lance Vance Chance!
Lance jumps the ramp.
Victor:
Laaaaance, you prick!
The screen fades to black, then fades from black as it shows Victor and Lance in a back alley, on foot, with the Stinger now burning, about to explode.
Victor:
You're never driving again.
Lance:
I've had it with you, man! You put me off. You always treat me like a kid.
The Stinger explodes as the Cholos arrive to try and kill off the Vance brothers, but Victor kills them all.
Lance:
I'd appreciate a ride to my hotel.
Victor and Lance find a nearby car and head off to Lance's hotel in Downtown as they're being chased by the VCPD. They soon arrive at the hotel.
Victor:
Impressive. This place ain't cheap.
Lance:
(chuckles) I wouldn't know. I told them to bill you.
Victor, focusing on the couple's interaction, doesn't notice that his brother is standing right beside him.
Lance startles Victor.
Victor is not excited to see his brother, Lance, since he got them into a lot of trouble in the past. Lance claims that he is a changed man and asks for another chance.
Victor agrees to give him one chance.
As the brothers get in their car and drive, a Cholocar blocks them off.
"All the Cholos have been looking for you Mr. Big-Shot."
Fight off those attackers while Lance drives.
The Vance brothers are escaping the Cholos in Escobar International Airport.
Lance takes another ramp trying to escape the Cholos.
"You're never driving again", says Victor. To which Lance replies "You put me off! Always treat me like a kid."
Kill those remaining attackers. Lance must survive.
The attackers are all wasted! Now take Lance to his hotel.
"Impressive! This place ain't cheap!", says Victor. "I wouldn't know. I told them to bill you!", says Lance.
Mission Passed.
Trivia[]
In this mission, Victor picks Lance up from the airport. However, it was clearly announced on the radio at the beginning of the game that due to Hurricane Gordy approaching the city, all flights to and from Escobar International are to be halted until further notice. This error may be caused by a developer's oversight.
During the opening cutscene, Victor and Lance can be seen entering the Stinger as the driver and passenger respectively. However, after the cutscene ends, Lance is driving the Stinger with Victor as the passenger.
The man who is seen holding hands with a woman in the beginning of the mission has an identical appearance to one of the Vice Squad officers, except he has no police badge on his left hip.
When Victor and Lance are being chased by the Cholos, the radio in their Stinger will be tuned into Fresh FM and the song "It's Like That" by Run-DMC will always play.
The first portion of the mission is similar to the mission Just Business in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, with the driver (Lance Vance/Big Smoke) performing reckless jumping stunts while the player (Victor Vance/Carl Johnson) tries to shoot at targets. Just Business also features a shootout with multiple targets while protecting another character, only it occurs at the start of the mission.
During the chase through Little Havana, a Coach with disembarking passengers can be seen in traffic. This is the only time during the game where the Coach appears on the streets.
