Jennifer Kolbe is the studio director at Rockstar Games.
Career[]
Kolbe joined Rockstar Games in 2001.
She was initially credited as part of the production team on Grand Theft Auto III, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City and Grand Theft Auto Advance.
In 2004, she became part of the publishing team at Rockstar Games, as which she was credited on Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories, Grand Theft Auto IV, The Lost and Damned, The Ballad of Gay Tony, Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars and Grand Theft Auto V. She was later credited as head of publishing on Grand Theft Auto Online.
Sometime after 2013, she was promoted to studio director of Rockstar Games, for which she was credited on Red Dead Redemption II.
18 months after Red Dead Redemption II released, Kolbe responded to complaints amongst developers and the industry related to employees being allegedly overworked during previous development schedules and that Rockstar Games had a "toxic work culture". In her response, she outlined how processes at Rockstar had been changed to reflect what worked best, flexible schedules were introduced, and some toxic employees, including managers, had been fired and replaced.[1]
