Jamal Amir (Arabic: جمال أمير) is a character appearing in Grand Theft Auto Online as a main character in The Chop Shop update.

Background[]
Jamal is the younger cousin of wealthy real estate developer Yusuf Amir. According to Yusuf, Jamal was also "born wealthy" like him and claims that his life was always an orgy of drugs and literal orgies in Los Santos, and that he cannot focus on business. Thanks to his "party boy" nature, he got connections to wealthy people linked to organized crime in the city.
He owns a penthouse in Los Santos gifted by his uncle Abdul Amir, a yacht and a collection of luxury cars.

The Chop Shop[]
By 2023, Jamal is the manager of Red's Auto Parts, a salvage yard business used as a front for stolen luxury cars and auto parts. While visiting Los Santos, Yusuf Amir hears about the GTA Online Protagonist, a potential investor for the business, and after finally reaching them, Yusuf suggests they purchase the salvage yard.
Jamal is introduced to the GTA Online Protagonist by Yusuf shortly after purchasing the business. He explains to them how the illegal part of the business works, and how he has been planning to steal a list of luxury cars to be shipped to Yusuf's personal collection in Liberty City. Jamal's planning work for each car robbery is kept hidden, visible only in black light, on the wall behind the computer.
Money Fronts[]
In 2025, Jamal still operates the Red's Auto Parts business front. During that year, one of the luxury cars belonging to his cousin Yusuf is stolen by a criminal under the alias of "Howard Sayer". As a favor for Yusuf's associate Mr. Faber, the GTA Online Protagonist retrieves the vehicle from the carjacker after a gunfight, and personally delivers the vehicle to Jamal at the Salvage Yard.
During the Money Laundering mission strand for Hands On Car Wash, the GTA Online Protagonist steals a random vehicle containing a stash of dirty money. The money is delivered to the property while the vehicle is sold to either Hao or Jamal to be stripped for parts.
