Homeless pedestrians may sometimes have the logo of the product on their shirts.
Grand Theft Auto V[]
In GTA V, Jakey's beer can be found in stock inside Ace Liquor, Rob's Liquor, 24/7, and Limited Service, and behind the bar in Yellow Jack Inn and Vanilla Unicorn.
Ace Liquor advertises 12 bottles for $12.80.
Cans can be found at homeless camps at Dignity Village in Blaine County, and Tent City under the Olympic Freeway in Strawberry.
Grand Theft Auto Online[]
In GTA Online in addition to being found in the accessible locations as GTA V, Jakey's can also be seen in the bar fridges in some player owned properties and businesses including:
- The Diamond Casino & Resort bar.
- Master Penthouse bar.
- Nightclubs (downstairs bar only).
A J's Lager Beer Hat was supposed to became available through special crates, after the Independence Day Special. However, through a glitch, it and the Blarneys Stout hat were unavailable for pick-up through normal means.
After The Diamond Casino & Resort update, the J's Lager Beer Hat can be won through the Lucky Wheel. The hat could also won after completing 10 Daily Objectives between April 9 and April 15, 2020.
Influence[]
Jakey's Lager is very likely based on the Australian beer Foster's Lager, which is very similar to Jakey's in name, colours, and logo design. The colour scheme and logo also resemble the Canadian beer Labatt quite closely, so it could also be a close influence.
Jakey's Lager could potentially be of Scottish origin, due to the Saltire featured in the brand's logo. A jakey is Scottish derogatory slang for a homeless alcoholic, hence the icon of a red bench in the logo and the taglines of the brand being "The Benchmark for all Lager since 1933" and "Drink Outside with Jakey's". The Scottish references is also likely a reference to the Grand Theft Auto series primary developer Rockstar North, which is located in Edinburgh, Scotland.

- Floyd Hebert can be seen wearing a Jakey's shirt underneath his jacket.
- The beer Jakey's Lager is based on, Foster's, appears in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas[1] inside bars and is unchanged from the real life brand. This is very likely an oversight by the interior artists for GTA San Andreas.
- In the Definitive Edition, several HD Universe brands are used in bar interiors in GTA San Andreas including Jakey's Lager, Benedict Light Beer, The Mount Distilling Co. and Ragga Rum, each respectively replacing 3D Universe brands such as Gimbo(sp?) Beer, Daeufers Beer, Buncadian(sp?) Club, and Bell Label Beer[2]
