Investigation: The Country Club is a Data Leak investigation mission featured in Grand Theft Auto Online as part of The Contract update.

Description[]

“A'ight, look, let's go. Start heading over to the Pacific Bluff Country Club. We'll be in touch, a'ight?”

— Franklin's briefing.

The player is called by Franklin who tells them to head over to Pacific Bluffs Country Club. Imani then calls and tells them to find the surveillance room and use the USB drive she gave them to hack a security terminal.

You will alert the security guards inside if the cameras

detect you or if they are destroyed.

Hack the keypad

to gain access to the surveillance room.

The player arrives at the club and must reach one of the two possible surveillance rooms inside by avoiding the two security cameras, which are positioned in a way that may require climbing through the building, as stepping over their cones of vision or destroying them will trigger the alarm. The player must reach the keypad and hack it by using HackConnect.exe to enter the surveillance room.

Once inside, they must deal with the four Security Guards, with two of them armed with Pump Shotguns, then hack one of the three security terminals by using BruteForce. Imani finds details of the vehicle but its owner is untraceable due to a shell corporation, but the vehicle has been flagged speeding on a traffic camera.

Search the area for a black/white Patriot Stretch limousine.

The player then goes to the location of the traffic camera to find either a black or white Patriot Stretch limousine parked nearby. There will be two possible areas the player must search, each one with three different locations where the Patriot Stretch will be.

Tail the limousine

until it reaches its destination. Stay at a safe distance to avoid the driver detecting you.

Use the Snapmatic app on your phone to take a photograph of the limousine's destination

and send it to Franklin.

The player is given the option of tailing the limousine until it reaches its destination, at a safe distance to avoid detection (indicated by a bar on the lower right side of the screen). The limo eventually reaches the Richman Mansion and the player will be asked by Franklin to take a photo of the mansion's gate and send it to him. After that, they must leave the area to complete the mission.

As an alternative, or if spotted by the limousine's driver, the player can simply take out the driver, pick up his wallet and bring it to their Agency. If the driver remains inside the vehicle, one must stand beside the front doors until a prompt to take the wallet is given. After returning to the Agency, the mission is completed.

Imani:

So, the last active trace we have on this copy of Dre's phone is at that preppy country club up in the Bluffs. This trail's pretty hot, so get over there quick and we might find the way-too-rich asshole who got it. Franklin's gonna call you on the way there.

The Protagonist leaves the Agency. When replaying this setup, the dialogue starts from here. The Protagonist gets a call from Franklin and Imani.

Franklin: A'ight, look, let's go. Start heading over to the Pacific Bluff Country Club. We'll be in touch, a'ight?

Franklin: 'Ey, Imani. Tell 'em what's going on, alright?

Imani: Right, so when you get there, find the surveillance room. Break into it. Then you're going to use the USB I gave you to hack into the security footage and upload it to our network so I can scan it for leads.

The Protagonist arrives at the Club, hacks the door to the surveillance room, enters, and takes out the security guards within. Then, they access a computer terminal and run hacking software on it, uploading footage to Imani.

Imani: Okay, I got it. We're only a few hours behind. The data left in a limousine. I just ran the limo's registration through every database I can get to. It's registered to some shell company... no address, no employee list.

Franklin: Damn. Sounds like a dead end to me.

Imani: Yeah, except... It got flagged speeding on the traffic camera network. Here's the last known location.

Franklin: A'ight, I got it. Shit, let's go.

The Protagonist must now travel to a marked location (Either in La Puerta or near Rockford Plaza). Eventually, they find the limousine, a black or white Patriot Stretch.

Imani: Okay, you just wanna follow it. Looks like it's down a passenger since it got flagged, so we have to assume the data's not onboard. Just keep your distance and see where it goes.

Franklin: 'Ey, look, if they see you and get spooked? Do what you gotta do to get some intel on that driver. Take his ass out, get his ID, and bring it back to you.

The Protagonist follows the limo, which eventually arrives at the Richman Mansion. However, they can skip this part by killing the driver of the limo, taking their wallet, and bringing it back to the Agency.

Franklin: When it gets wherever it's goin', make sure you get the pic, alright?

Imani: Just the entrance'll do. Send it to me.

The Protagonist sends a photo of the entrance to Imani.

Imani: I'll investigate the owner, but I say maybe back off for now.

Franklin: Yeah, a'ight, well, shit. We're gonna need to find a real good reason to come back here...

Imani: And the access code for that gate.

Franklin: For sure. Look, let's find out who own this motherfucker and regroup, a'ight? We'll be in touch.

Franklin: Okay, another day, another bougie-ass member club. 'Ey let's do this. We'll holler on the way over there, a'ight?

Franklin: Okay, shit, wanna run us through it, Imani?

Imani: So we're gonna need the club's security footage. Job one is find the club's surveillance room, job two is break in. Then you're gonna use the USB I gave you to get into the archive and send the footage back to me. I'll scan it for a lead, then hopefully we can pick up the trail of this data.

Franklin: A'ight, for sure, shit, we on it.

Imani: 'Kay, got the footage. I got it leaving the club in a limo. Let me just check who it's registered to... Damn.

Franklin: Damn, good shit.
