The Hotring Racers in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City are fast vehicles, almost on par with most sport cars in the game, like the Infernus or the Cheetah. The top speed and the acceleration are impressive and the grip is very good. Its resistance may not be one of the best, but is still a strong vehicle. The vehicle's handling is average, but at higher speeds, it will suffer from understeer, though not as severe.
In Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, the second variant of the Hotring Racer shares the same performance characteristics with the other variants. It is the second fastest cars in the game in terms of top speed and boast rapid acceleration and good handling, although It is prone to fishtailing at high speeds.
