Shoot down a prototype Hydra and recover the enemy's broadcast signal from the crash site.
— Brief.

Onboard Computer is a prep mission featured in Grand Theft Auto Online as part of The Doomsday Heist update. It is a freeroam mission needed to progress Act III of The Doomsday Heist.

Description

We need to bring down one of Avon's active jets. It'll have a frequency on the onboard computer we need, to get inside his missile system. Which we need to do if we wanna destroy it. Okay, now crash that thing however you can.
— Lester's briefing.

The crew is instructed to go to the location of a Hydra jet, where Lester informs them that it is carrying an onboard frequency module they need so they can get over the missile system controlled by Avon and his army. The jet will be found flying around the state.

Once the crew reaches the jet, they have to damage it so the pilot would attempt to land over the Pacific Ocean or the Alamo Sea. Once the jet crashes, one player should dive down and collect the module from the cockpit so they can deliver it to the Facility. The crew should be careful of a Buzzard Attack Chopper which will spawn in an attempt to take them out, however.

Lester's Dialogue

I just keep telling myself it's all gonna be worth it. Wiping the grin off Avon's face and Cliffford's... whatever neural networks have instead of faces, huh? Yeah? Come on then! Let's get this done and find him.
— Commenting about Avon and Cliffford.
There's the jet. You won't be able to lock on, but if you shoot him enough times, the pilot should make a ditch attempt over water... I know he's working for an emotionally detached AI, but he still went to flight school.
— When approaching to the target jet.
You got it! It's going down! Follow the jet and wait for it to make a splash landing.
— After damaging the jet.
Not pretty. The jet's under there with the frequency on board. Dive down and collect the module from the cockpit.
— When the jet is down.
Oh you got the module, bring it in. When our plane broadcasts that frequency, Avon's people are gonna think we're a friendly.
— When the module is recovered.
The world's gonna end at some point, right? We may as well delay that by a little bit of time, and have some money to spend while we wait. Let's get Avon, and get our cash, and get to the beach... or... or wherever we relax. I try to avoid direct sunshine, actually...
— When closer to the Facility.
Okay, okay. That's what we need. If you're ready for a bombing run on Avon's missile sites... you know where to go.
— After delivering the module to the Facility.
