Infiltrate the control tower at Fort Zancudo to download the location of the Akula helicopter.
— Brief.

Akula is a prep mission featured in Grand Theft Auto Online as part of The Doomsday Heist update. It is a freeroam mission needed to progress the Act I of The Doomsday Heist.

Description

Okay. Time to play toy soldiers. You've got a limited access pass to Fort Zancudo. Get over there, quick, quick.
— Lester's briefing.

The crew is instructed to go to Fort Zancudo, provided with military clothing and a limited access pass.

From there, the crew should head to the control tower of the base and get to the top floor. Lester warns that the access pass is limited, so they have to be as quick as possible. The crew has to then eliminate the two tower officers and download the flight data from one of the consoles. This will alert the military, so the crew has to defend the player who is acquiring the data.

With the data acquired, the crew has to move to the designated location and take out the enemy group to steal the helicopter, lose the cops, and deliver it to the facility.

Possible Akula Locations

Lester's Dialogue

Are we the data breach... or are we stopping the data breach? Whatever we are, we're getting paid. Let's get this thing going.
— On the way to the military base.
If we want that Akula stealth chopper for our "investigation" of the NOOSE server farm, we're gonna need its flight path. The data's stored on the air traffic control servers up on the top floor of the control tower. First step, get on the base. Then make your way up the tower, and download the flight path onto your phone.
— After reaching the military base.
Remember I said. You've got a limited access pass to the base. Do anything stupid and they'll be on to ya. Also, it won't hold up for long, so get a move on.
— After entering the control tower.
Okay. I see you're in the control tower. Access the console and start transferring flight data to your phone. You need to make sure there's always a phone in close proximity to the console or the download will be stopped.
— After getting on the top floor.
They detected the download! That complicates things, uhh, just a bit... You're gonna have to wait until the download completes, then fight your way outta there.
— Once the download started.
Okay. Good work. The stealth chopper's location should be flashing up on your GPS. Wait 'til it lands and then hijack the thing. Oh, and there will be troops on board, so watch yourself.
— Once the download is completed.
You know, with all this shit going on... Oh, I miss the simple days of scoping out banks and taking scores.
— Once the download is completed.
You've got the chopper. Okay, bring it to the facility.
— After taking the Akula.
If you thought breaking into a military base and taking a few million bucks worth of helicopter off some government contractors was fun, wait until you steal data off the National Office of Security Enforcement. Oh the joys that await.
— While evading the cops.
Grabbing this data for Avon is definitely not part of my usual job description, but at the end of the day, money is money and Avon's got a lot of it.
— When closer to the facility.
Well, well. Good work out there. We'll prep our next move on NOOSE. Return to your Planning Room when you're ready to commence.
— After delivering the Akula.

Trivia

  • Likely to allow rival organizations to steal the equipment, the Akula's stealth mode is disabled.
