The Pfister Growler is a two-door sports car added to Grand Theft Auto Online as part of the continuation of the Los Santos Tuners update, and due to appear in Grand Theft Auto VI.
Influence[]
Grand Theft Auto Online[]
The Growler is prominently based on the Porsche 718 Cayman, with the headlights, rear diffuser and exhaust derived from the 2017 Alpine A110. The front bumper seems to come from the Gemballa Mirage GT, while the side vent is similar to the 2010–2012 Audi R8 Spyder.
Liveries[]
- The "Coverup" livery is based on the RWB Porsche 964 "Apple Computer" livery.
- The "Vandal" and "Reverse Vandal" liveries are based on the Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 Clubsport.
- The "Tinkle Sprint" livery is loosely based on the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup or 911 GT3 R.
Design[]
Grand Theft Auto Online[]
The design of the car is comparable to the Comet S2, another car featured in the same update, as well as the other Comet models. The front end is predominated by three large mesh intakes spanning most of the car's width, along with two narrow intakes on the edges. On the upper area, large black headlamp housings can be seen on the outer portions with silver details on the inner sides, housing circular units on the middle and vertical unitsnon the outer sides, while the bonnet bears the Pfister logo on the front and opens to reveal a small luggage compartment, with the "PFISTER" lettering on the section near the windscreen.
The sides of the car are denoted by the small skirts and the inset portions passing through the doors and leading to the rear intakes, as well as the painted door handles above and the rear-view mirrors mounted near the cabin A-pillars. The glasshouse area consist of black trimmings around the windows and black separations for the rear-quarter windows, together with the corresponding rear hatch that reveals a small luggage compartment.
On the rear, the car has a small black strip with "PFISTER" lettering embossed on it and a small lip above, while the outer sections have rounded housings with modern light strips on them. The bumper area has additional red strips on the outer sides and a trapezium impressed area on the centre, holding the number plate. There is a black section at the bottom with dual diffuser blades on either side and a protruding centre housing a single exhaust tube.
The interior of the car is shared with the Comet S2, also featuring a monitor on the right side of the speedometer, the Pfister logo on the horn cap and the "PFISTER" lettering on the passenger side.
The primary colour of the car is applied on the body, while the secondary one is applied on the mirrors, the brake calipers and the interior stitching. A trim colour is also available for the interior, as well as a dial colour. It uses a unique set of rims with ten dual spokes, having five outer ones and five inner ones, wrapped in low-profile tyres. These rims can also support a dedicated colour, although only examples generated in Content Creator may have one.

Performance[]
Grand Theft Auto Online[]
Similar to the Comet S2, the Comet Retro Custom and the Comet Safari, the vehicle is powered by a flat-6 engine, evidenced by the six pipes seen on the underside of the car, coupled to a 7-speed gearbox in a rear engine, rear wheel drive layout. Its engine sound is similar to the one from the Monroe, the Bifta and the Kuruma, albeit with a higher pitch.

Trivia[]
Grand Theft Auto Online[]
- The name "Growler" could be another one of Rockstar's sexual jokes, as the word "Growler" is British slang used for a woman's unshaven vagina.
- It could also be linked to the brand's name being "Pfister" (Fister) and "Growler" together, which could mean "Fisting the Growler" (fisting a hairy vagina), a sexual act.
- This vehicle’s stock rims can be found under the Track wheel ‘Ice Storm’, albeit with the addition of visible rivets.
- The Growler emits a unique electrical beep when starting the engine in first-person.
Cut Content[]
- With the Bottom Dollar Bounties update, this vehicle was going to receive additional livery options, but they were not properly implemented and are currently unavailable in-game.
- Sessanta incorrectly refers to the vehicle as a Groaner in a cut line of dialogue.
