The Greenwood is a four-door sedan appearing in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas and Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories.
The car also appears in the HD Universe where it is manufactured by Bravado.
Influence[]
Grand Theft Auto: Vice City and Vice City Stories[]
The Greenwood featured in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City closely resembles the 1982–1989 Chrysler Fifth Avenue, particularly in its grille and Landau roof design, which are nearly identical. While the headlights share similarities with those of the Chrysler, they have been repositioned and include split turn signals, reminiscent of various American automobiles from the late 1970s to early 1980s, most notably the 1979–1985 Cadillac Eldorado. Additionally, the rear fascia design resembles the 1978 Dodge Diplomat. The PlayStation 2 and PC version feature, rather unfittingly, second-generation Fiat Punto hubcaps.
In Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories, the Greenwood retains its original design but features a more era-appropriate wheel design, an altered tail light configuration and a front license plate.
Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas[]
In Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, the Greenwood makes a return with minor design modifications compared to its earlier version. The most significant changes include the front bumper and grille, which appear to be inspired by the 1980–1984 Cadillac de Ville. Additionally, the Landau roof has been slightly adjusted to accommodate an opera window, resembling the 1979–1981 Chrysler New Yorker. The layout of the tail lights was also simplified.
Design[]
The Greenwood is designed as a boxy four-door sedan with traditional features, where the front end bears a large gray/silver bumper with black trim, a tall grille with vertical elements and gray/silver housings with dual headlights on the upper side and dual indicators on the lower side, along with a traditional hood with an elevation in the center, where the grille is located. The sides of the car have gray/silver trim at the bottom and on the flared wheel arches, traditional door handles and a squared-off greenhouse area with a landau on the back section. The rear is relatively simple and bears a small emblem in the center and wide tail lights on either side, while the lower area bears a similar gray/silver bumper with black trim, a license plate in the center and small plate light casings beside it.
The Greenwood in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City and Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories has the grille marked up to the hood and has a pointed shape to the front, as well as a straight front bumper with a similar pointed shape on the front. In Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas; however, the grille has been shifted down the front fascia and is more flattened, with the pointed shape shifting from the front of the grille to its upper border. The front bumper becomes slightly curved lower towards the middle to adapt to this redesign. On the rear door, there is an extra pillar that separates the bodywork from the landau on both sides of the car, forming an "Opera window" (a much smaller window placed on the rear door, next to the main window). Similar to many cars, a fuel cap is added to the rear left fender.
The vehicle will spawn in multiple primary colors for the bodywork and secondary colors for the landau in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, but in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories, the car's body colors are normally restricted to a light blue-gray body with a white landau.
Performance[]
Though the speed and acceleration are less than ideal, the handling is improved over comparable vehicles found in the same areas, and the braking is pretty good. The front-engine, rear-wheel-drive vehicle is heavy and relatively sturdy, capable of withstanding a good deal of damage and making it a relatively solid choice for drive-bys and primary transport.
The vehicle has a V8 engine under the hood (mistaken to be a V4 due to the poorly textured valve cover and sparkplug inlets). In GTA Vice City and GTA Vice City Stories, it uses a relatively mid engine sound shared with the Regina, Top Fun and Kaufman Cab. while in GTA San Andreas, it uses a mid-revving sound shared with the Perennial, Regina, Tampa, Manana, Moonbeam, Bobcat, Sadler, Washington, Virgo and Romero.
The performance of the Greenwood is enhanced in GTA Vice City Stories. The vehicle now features a higher top speed and a five-speed gearbox (instead of the typical four-speed gearbox that was the case beforehand). Its stats are shared with the Glendale.

Trivia[]
- The Greenwood is also featured in Rockstar North's Manhunt series, appearing in Manhunt 2. It is internally named Greenwood '86, confirming it is an edited version of the Grand Theft Auto: Vice City model.
Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas[]
- Sweet's Greenwood plays either Bounce FM or CSR 103.9 by default when entered during his missions. Outside of the missions, it behaves like a normal Greenwood, playing Radio Los Santos.
- In the beta version of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, the Greenwood's design was like in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City.
- Carl Johnson seems to dislike this car because in the mission End of the Line he says to Sweet "I can't believe you bought the same bucket ass car."
- The Greenwood still spawns in front of Sweet's house, even though it has already been destroyed after the mission Reuniting the Families. The new Greenwood has the same registration as the previous one, and can be found outside Sweet's house as early as The Green Sabre.
- It could be possible that Sweet immediately bought the same Greenwood sometime later following the events of Reuniting the Families.
Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories[]
- The color of the car cannot be changed at a Pay 'n' Spray. This is because the Greenwood is set to spawn in a single color scheme (71,73), a color scheme that is actually reminiscent of Sweet's Greenwood from GTA San Andreas. However, the Greenwood, just like many other vehicles, can be turned fully black by using the exploit found in the mission In the Air Tonight.
