This article covers official screenshots released for Grand Theft Auto V.

The first two screenshots for Grand Theft Auto V were released by Rockstar Games on July 12, 2012, in an "Asked & Answered" Newswire post, almost 9 months after the game's first trailer and initial unveiling, and 4 months before the game's second trailer. The first screenshot depicts a Police Maverick flying above Rockford Hills, and the second depicts a boardwalk at Mirror Park.

In August 2012, 10 more screenshots were released in three individual Newswire posts:

• "Transport", featuring 3 images, released on August 20
• "Leisure", also featuring 3 images, released August 22
• "Business", featuring 4 images, released August 24.

Later that week, it was announced that there would be "more to see" in "a few weeks or so".

On December 24, 2012, 5 more screenshots were unveiled as part of a 'Happy Holidays' Newswire post.

The following year, on March 27, 2013, 10 more screenshots were released in a Newswire post titled "Sunsets, Seas, Skies and So On...".

In May 2013, various game magazines and websites, including GameSpot, Destructoid and Game Informer released articles on first-hand experience with the game and included official screenshots not previously released by Rockstar Games.

Many of the official screenshots published by Rockstar Games were originally available to view at the GTA V section of the Rockstar Games website (formerly Social Club). This section was removed after the website's overhaul in November 2023.
