Gasso is a small petroleum company that operates a lone filling station in Dillimore, Red County, San Andreas, in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas.
Description[]
Similarly to Tosser and Going, Gasso has a limited presence in the state, operating only a single station throughout the entire region. The company's motto is "We Have Gas!" Gasso utilizes two distinct logos: one features red lettering within a blue ellipse, while the other showcases blue capital letters accompanied by five stripes adjacent to the text within a red ellipse.
The proximity of The Welcome Pump, which features Tosser branding, suggests that the two businesses may be competitors.
The gas station is fitted with Max Pane bulletproof glass. There is a vending machine on the side of the building.
Interior[]
The interior remains inaccessible during standard gameplay. Nevertheless, it can be reached through glitches, although it is important to highlight that the floor lacks full collision. A player may become trapped, as falling through the ground could either respawn them in the solid area of the shop or repeatedly place them in the non-solid section, potentially leading to a softlock situation.
Within the interior, several notable items can be found. On the counter, there are small boxes featuring Grand Theft Auto: Vice City branding, a bottle of Maclain's Scottish Whisky, an ashtray, and a cash register. Additionally, two flags are displayed: one of the United States of America and the other of the Confederate States of America. Furthermore, there are three advertisements for automotive businesses: Yaiyarir Auto Parts, G&A Automotive, and West Side Motors. The products displayed on the shelves feature images of real-world items[1] primarily various Silver Hook products, along with Amsoil and Castrol oils. The logos remain unaltered and are clearly visible. Behind the counter, there are two unused, empty rooms.
In Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas - The Definitive Edition, the interior has undergone a complete redesign.
Influence[]
Gasso's name and logo are both inspired by Esso. The yellow and blue roof may be influenced by the European chain Jet or a reverse of the Gulf Oil paint scheme.
Prominent Appearances in Gameplay[]
- Tanker Commander - CJ assists Catalina in the theft of a tanker trailer containing fuel. The glass is marked by multiple bullet holes, indicating that it has thwarted prior theft attempts. This detail accounts for the employee's confidence when Catalina confronts him at gunpoint. The employee and Derek attempt to retrieve the truck and its trailer, but ultimately, they are unsuccessful in their endeavor.

Trivia[]
- The station's window features a sign reading "Max Pane - Bullet Proof Glass," which clearly alludes to the Max Payne series.
- One of the Los Santos taxi drivers can be heard saying, "Am I even going to make it to the Gasso?!" if the player blocks him while driving.
- The appearance of the Xoomer tanker trailer during the Tanker Commander mission may serve as a nod to Exxon's ownership of Esso.
