The Gang Rancher is an SUV and gang car exclusive to Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories. It is the gang car of the Sharks, preceding the Gang Burrito from Grand Theft Auto: Vice City.
Design[]
Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories[]
The Gang Rancher is a modified variant of the Rancher, but with four doors and a longer wheelbase. It serves as a gang car driven by the Sharks, and as such, it is commonly parked at empire sites owned by the Sharks. The front end, rim set, hood and rear of the vehicle are different from the original Rancher. The SUV also sports the colors of the gang, which are red, white and black.
The Gang Rancher is designed to look like a 1973–1991 Chevrolet K5 Blazer, with the front end of a Lamborghini LM002.
The vehicle also has an optional cosmetic feature: a black roof rack. Some Gang Ranchers have it, while others do not.
Performance[]
Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories[]
The performance of the Gang Rancher is considerably better than that of a standard Rancher, although its police counterpart, the FBI Rancher, possesses somewhat better performance than it. Its acceleration is delayed, but can reach a decent top speed along a straight road. Braking and steering are also robust, considering the size of the vehicle itself. The vehicle has an all wheel drive system, making it a good off-road vehicle, however the engine has slightly below average power driving the vehicle.

Trivia[]
Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories[]
- All of the Gang Ranchers parked outside a Shark business site are locked, even if the player recruits a gang member and tries to get in, it will still be locked; however, it is possible for the gang member to enter the vehicle. The same situation also applies to the Cholo Sabre.
- Whenever the player attacks an empire site belonging to the Sharks, a death squad is sent after the player and they will drive-by and follow the player in a Gang Rancher.
- Internally, the Gang Rancher is named "gangbur", suggesting that it is a replacement for the Gang Burrito.
- The Gang Rancher is very comparable to the Cartel Cruiser, another gang SUV in Grand Theft Auto III and Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories.
- It is one of the only gang cars in the 3D Universe that is not named after the gang that uses it. Instead of being called "Shark Rancher", it is simply called "Gang Rancher". The same applies for the Gang Burrito in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City.
- Despite the fact that this vehicle features multiple color schemes in the game files, it only ever spawns in a mix of the gang colors – red, white and black, as it has a set texture. However, the 'real' primary color can be noticed by crashing the vehicle and paying attention to the color of the crash particles. This is a characteristic shared with the ammo truck variant of the Barracks OL, the Patriot and the Polaris V8.
