Funabashi is a neighborhood of Downtown District, Anywhere City, in Grand Theft Auto 2.
Description[]
Funabashi is located in the southwestern area of the district, and is bordered by University and Shiroto to the north, Altamount to the east, and Ukita to the south. The neighborhood is controlled by the Yakuza.
The area features many Yakuza businesses, including the J-Lab, a police station and a hospital.
It is named after the city of Funabashi in Chiba Prefecture, Japan.

- Invulnerability - The player needs to take the road north of Ukita eastwards, then the last street to the east. They should then follow some stairs on the north side.
- Get out of jail Free Card - The street south of the cathedral need to be followed westwards, then the second street southwards. At the end, the player should see a courtyard on the south side, and there's a second courtyard on the east side.
- Get out of jail Free Card - The street north of the J-Lab needs to be taken westwards and then the last street to the north, followed by the first street westwards.
Trivia[]
- Funabashi is also the surname of Hana Funabashi, the girlfriend of Yakuza leader Johnny Zoo.
- It is mentioned in Jill Tasker's news report before the Tammy Boness & The Swingin' Mammaries song on Lo-Fi FM that the Zoo brothers have opened an arcade place called "Game Zoo".
