Description[]
Fortside is bounded by Grand Boulevard (Boulevard) to the north, Attica Avenue (Industrial) to the east, Switch Street (South Bohan) to the south, and the Humboldt River to the West.
Formerly a prominent commercial district, Fortside appears to suffer a terrible decline. The dozens of small businesses that line the main thoroughfare, Folsom Way, are all closed. The tenements and housing projects which make up the housing stock are in an advanced state of disrepair. On the west side is one of the four towers of South Bohan Projects, a loading dock, and a small promenade along the water's edge.
