The Florida Counterfeit Syndicate is a Florida-based criminal organization that appears in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City.

Description

The Syndicate is devoted primarily to counterfeiting currency. It makes a brief appearance during the mission Hit the Courier; an agent of the Syndicate is bringing in new counterfeiting plates. Tommy Vercetti, who was convinced by Earnest Kelly to enter into counterfeiting, steals the plates from the agent and returns to the Print Works and begins his counterfeiting operations.

All the Syndicate's members appear to be women, as all of its members that Tommy fights during "Hit the Courier" are female.

The Counterfeit Syndicate has the Vice City Triads provide them with plates of specific currency they want to counterfeit.

• Ironically, Tommy ambushes the deal, which takes place at the exact same location where he is ambushed during a deal between the Vance brothers in the introduction of the game.
• This is the first all-female gang in the Grand Theft Auto series.
  • A similar female gang, which was however led by a male drug dealer, also appeared in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories in the mission Unfriendly Competition.
  • In addition, in the HD Universe, a prostitute named Cherie leads a gang of prostitutes in Northwood, Liberty City, in Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars.
