Fish are an animal species featured in Grand Theft Auto III, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, Grand Theft Auto V and Grand Theft Auto Online.
3D Universe[]
Fish are marine creatures found in schools in large water bodies in GTA San Andreas. In the original versions of the games, they appear to be 2D sprites rather than 3D models, and are non-interactive, while in The Definitive Edition, fish appear to be 3D models.
There are various types of fish in the game.
Several fish can be seen in Grand Theft Auto III during the mission Gone Fishing, albeit dead.
HD Universe[]
In Grand Theft Auto: The Ballad of Gay Tony there are a few ornamental fish in Yusuf Amir's Penthouse.
In Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars, heads of dead fish can sometimes be found in green dumpsters.
Fish are present in all versions of Grand Theft Auto V. In the enhanced version, fish are one of the animal species the player may experience when consuming a Peyote plant, but only one type; the various other types cannot be controlled.
In GTA Online, fish are only present in the Pacific in the enhanced version of the game. Peyote Plants were added to the game as part of the continuation of the The Diamond Casino & Resort update, having a chance of transforming the player into a fish.
