Firefighter is an emergency vehicle-based side mission available in Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars.
Description[]
In order to start the mission, the player must find a Fire Truck and press the button shown on the instruction text (platform dependent) to toggle the side mission on or off.
Once the mission is started, the player is given the location of a current emergency and a time limit on screen below the HUD.
There are three types of emergencies during the side-mission: burning vehicles, burning buildings and protesters.
In order to complete each emergency, the player must use the Fire Truck hose to clear the fires or disperse the protesters from an area without seriously harming them.
After putting out the fire within the time limit, the emergency is completed and the player will get a timer bonus for the subsequent emergency. As more emergencies are completed consecutively, the player must extinguish the fires of multiple vehicles and their occupants.
The player cannot repair the Fire Truck if it is too damaged, although the game allows the player to leave the current vehicle and switch to another within a 30-second limit.
In order to achieve the 100% game completion, the player must achieve at least a bronze medal by completing three emergencies. It is not necessary to complete the emergencies in a row. Completing six emergencies awards a silver medal, while completing ten emergencies grants a gold medal.
Rewards[]
Upon completing ten emergencies (Gold medal), the player will unlock the "Flame Retard" bonus, which causes Huang to become fireproof.
