Race And Chase is a trilogy of arcade racing games developed by AKEDO. The games are available for up to two players in the Arcade or Auto Shop in Grand Theft Auto Online.
Description[]
The game series consists of three games; Street Legal, Get Truckin', and Crotch Rockets, each of which plays identically to each other with minor differences. The biggest difference between them is the mode of transport, in Street Legal the player is given a classic sports car, in Get Truckin' the player is given an old pickup truck, and in Crotch Rockets the player is given a motorbike. Due to vehicle choices, Get Truckin' drives slower than Street Legal, while Crotch Rockets has a smaller hitbox while driving.
Each of the games have obstacles in the way, which may vary from other cars and vehicles, pedestrians and jaywalkers, and mythical creatures. The games are set on a time limit, and the player must clear the check points along the way to reset the timer, otherwise the timer will run out and will result in a game over.
The game also goes from location to location as the game progresses, going to cities such as: Los Santos, Liberty City, Las Venturas, San Fierro, and Vice City.
Street Legal[]
Race And Chase: Street Legal is one of the games in the trilogy, in this game the player can drive a pink Turismo Classic and a yellow Torero. The game appears to be based on the popular racing game; Out Run.
Get Truckin'[]
Race And Chase: Get Truckin' is another game in the trilogy, in this game the player can drive a red Bodhi and a blue Merryweather Mesa.
Crotch Rockets[]
Race And Chase: Crotch Rockets is another game in the trilogy, in this game the player can drive a red and green Bati 801RR. The game appears to be based on the classic motorcycle game; Hang-On.
Challenges[]
There are three challenges available across the three arcade games. Special T-shirts will be awarded to the player if they manage to complete each one of them. Completing all challenges will also award a trophy in the Arcade Trophy Case.
Beat The Traffic[]
This challenge requires the player to complete a full game without crashing. To complete this challenge all 5 locations (Los Santos, San Fierro, Las Venturas, Vice City and Liberty City) must be raced through without crashing. This is best done on the Get Truckin' cabinet since it has the slowest and safest vehicle. Just keep practing until you get a better hang of the controls, changing very quickly between low and high gear can help a lot in avoiding obstacles.
Completing this challenge awards the player the Race and Chase Vehicles Tee.
All Wheels[]
This challenge requires the player to complete the game with all vehicle types. This is the easiest challenge since you don't actually have to complete the game, just sit in each one of the three cabinets and quit the game.
Completing this challenge awards the player the Race and Chase Finish Tee.
Race Champion[]
This challenge requires the player to win 40 races against another player. This challenge is easier done with a friend, just score a few points and let the timer run out.
Completing this challenge awards the player the Race and Chase Decor Tee.
Completing all three challenges awards the player with three t-shirts (Crotch Rockets Tee, Street Legal Tee and Get Truckin') and a wheel shaped trophy in the Arcade Trophy Case. A copy of this trophy will also be available in the player's Penthouse to be used as decoration.

Trivia[]
- The game's name is a reference to Race'n'Chase, the working title for the original Grand Theft Auto.
- The Turismo Classic in Street Legal is a topless model, which currently is not available in Grand Theft Auto Online. This may be a nod to the topless Ferrari Testarossa featured in OutRun, which only remained a prototype, subsequently not being available to the public.
- The red Bodhi in Get Truckin' is Trevor Philips's Bodhi, even having the same license plate and sticky notes inside.
- Several mythical beings can appear as obstacles on the road, like the Beast from Hunt the Beast, the ghost of Jolene Cranley-Evans from Mount Gordo, and the Sasquatch.
- When driving through Las Venturas, a UFO will fly across the top of the screen.
- When driving through Vice City, the Gash Blimp can be seen in the background.
- The "Vice City" skyline seen in the game is actually Downtown Los Santos from Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas.[1]
- Some of the game's 16-bit music tracks are based on the main titles of several GTA games.
- Undercover is based on Grand Theft Auto III's theme song.[2]
- Vice Lights is based on Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas's theme song, Theme from San Andreas.[3]
- Turbo Boost is based on Grand Theft Auto IV's theme song, Soviet Connection.[4]
- LS Nights is based on Grand Theft Auto V's theme song, Welcome to Los Santos.[5]
- Despite the games having been made in the 1980s, the under construction Mile High Club can be seen in Los Santos's skyline, even though the skyscraper was only first being built in 2013. This is possibly an oversight or a reference to the running joke in the GTA community, that the Mile High Club will never get finished.
