The Mammoth Mogul is an aircraft featured in Grand Theft Auto Online as part of the GTA Online: Smuggler's Run update, released on October 3rd, 2017, during the Mogul Week event.

The Mogul appears to be based on the Beechcraft Model 18, with the cabin and turret layout of an FMA AeMB.2.
The plane is depicted with a medium-sized fuselage, featuring a rounded nose and a large windshield. Around the main section, the cabin features the corresponding doors and the square side windows, as well as an elevated glass canopy/cupola for the turret gunner. The engines are directly mounted on the large wings and are closer to the fuselage, housing the corresponding exhaust pipes and the main retractable undercarriage, while the wings house taxi lights between the fuselage and the engines, the outer ailerons and the inner air brakes on the rear portions. The tail boom features an additional door on the left and a large empennage, with a wide horizontal stabilizer and elevator, rounded vertical stabilizers and rudders on the edges, and a tail landing undercarriage on the end of the tail boom.
The interior uses the same "Lazer" dial set from aircraft such as the Shamal and the Luxor, and the instrument panel shares the same layout with the aforementioned aircraft. There is a small corridor that leads to the rear turret and the rear door, with additional equipment on the rearmost section.
The primary color of the aircraft is applied on most of the fuselage, the wings, the bombs on the rear-left side, the turret wall and the details of the turret seat, while the secondary color is applied on the front sections of the engine compartments and part of the air data probe/antenna below the nose. The wheels appear to be similar to the industrial wheels seen on various aircraft, but are mostly covered. When destroyed, however, the wheels appear to have no defined rim texture, also being similar to the ones from the Mallard.
The vehicle is armed with a single machine gun on the nose and a single Hawk & Little machine gun turret on the canopy/cupola, based on a Browning M2HB .50 caliber machine gun. It can also be modified with dual guns for both sets, as well as bombs.

Vehicle[]
Being a medium-sized plane, the Mogul performs roughly similar to aircraft like the Cuban 800 or the Tula, possessing average speed and handling. Its size and mobility makes this plane rather difficult to use when comes to air fights and evasive maneuvers, but is generally stable.
The aircraft is powered by two 8-cylinder radial engines, sharing the same model as the one from the Duster and the Dodo. The engine sound is rather low-revving and noisy compared to the traditional one from aircraft such as the Duster or the Velum, possibly attributed to its aging nature.
JATO[]
The aircraft can be equipped with eight JATO thrusters, which are intended for a near-instant take-off and quick acceleration. JATO thrusters propel the aircraft for 5 seconds and are recharged upon landing.
Defense[]
The Mogul's size and mobility makes it an easy target for attackers, as it can only withstand a few rounds from firearms before starting to smoke and eventually, getting damaged over time until its engines are shut down. Because of its twin-motor nature, the Mogul can still fly for a few minutes with one engine, but its handling and speed are severely affected, often requiring to level the plane to compensate the lack of power from the damaged engine.
While the glass of the turret canopy/cupola cannot be shattered, the gunner is still vulnerable to gunfire, as they are not bulletproof. However, the enclosed design prevents the gunner from falling off the plane when the plane is flying upside down.
Countermeasures[]
The vehicle can be fitted with countermeasures to improve its defensive capabilities against homing missiles, each one with their own attributes:
- The Chaff countermeasure disrupts the targeting system from missile launchers, rendering them unable to lock on the aircraft for five seconds. They have a delay of five seconds before being used again and only have 10 uses.
- The Flare countermeasure drops various flares from around the rear of the aircraft, which can "disorient" the homing missile in order to avoid chasing the aircraft. They have a delay of three seconds before being used again and only have 20 uses.
- The Smoke countermeasure creates a trail of smoke that can disorient the enemy pilot, but its effectiveness is very limited, as the trail is large enough for a standard cockpit and the enemy pilot would just need to move away and follow the smoke trail. It has no delay between uses and can be used indefinitely.
Weaponry[]
- Machine Gun/Dual MG: Its primary armament is a .50 caliber machine gun turret operated by a gunner, which has a rotation angle of 360 degrees and an elevation range of -10 and 30 degrees. It has decent firepower against most unarmored vehicles and aircraft in general thanks to the ×1.5 modifier, but remains a weak option against armored vehicles. By default, it is equipped with a single gun, but can be modified with a dual gun option that offers a higher fire rate of 400 rounds per minute (compared to the single gun's fire rate of 333 rounds per minute).
- Machine Gun/Dual MG: Its secondary armament is a front-mounted machine gun operated by the pilot, which functions similarly to the ones from various aircraft and land vehicles like the Blazer Aqua and the Ruiner 2000. However, it has greater firepower compared to other similar weapons, causing more damage to unarmored vehicles and destroying them in about five seconds. This can be dangerous against most aircraft, as they are less resistant to bullets in general. By default, it is equipped with a single gun, but can be modified with a dual gun option that offers a higher fire rate of 800 rounds per minute (compared to the single gun's fire rate of 480 rounds per minute).
- The vehicle has the option for installing bombs, providing heavy firepower against ground targets. There are four different Bomb choices: Explosive, Incendiary, Gas and Cluster;
- The Explosive option has high damage over targets from all ranges, meaning any target caught in the "edges" of the blast radius receive the same damage as in the "center".
- The Incendiary option creates a trail of fire similar to the Molotov Cocktail, burning the targets for a constant damage. Although the bombs are powerful at the center, it causes less damage on the "edges".
- The Gas option causes a noxious effect on players and NPCs on impact, similar to the Tear Gas. It has a slightly larger blast radius than the standard bomb, but is unable to damage vehicles. The gas lasts for around 25 seconds.
- The Cluster option creates a smaller explosion than the standard one on impact, but small clusters spread within its radius, allowing for greater damage over a single armored target.

- It appears in the business setup mission from the Free Trade Shipping Co computer, guarded by Lost MC gang members.
- It is provided during the Air Freight Cargo Steal mission "Titan rendezvous, which involves escorting a Titan and protecting it from enemy Buzzard Attack Choppers.
- It is provided during an Air Freight Cargo Sell mission involving delivering cargo to several drop-off locations while being pursued by Police Mavericks carrying gunners with Combat MGs.
- Appears as an optional vehicle during the Disrupt Air Support heist prep of The Cayo Perico Heist. It is guarded by a small number of enemies and is provided in case the player has no suitable weaponized aircraft.

- A similar airplane also appeared on a billboard just at the entrance to the Easter Bay Airport in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. The aircraft on the billboard at the entrance appears to be based on a North American B-25 Mitchell bomber.[2][3]
- A "Mogul" is an important or powerful person, especially in the motion picture or media industry.
- The name "Mammoth Mogul" may have been inspired by the notable villain of the same name who makes numerous appearances throughout the Archie Comics "Sonic the Hedgehog" series.
Grand Theft Auto Online[]
- Strangely, when steering the plane on the ground, the main gear wheels will turn instead of the tail wheel, as seen in other taildraggers in the game and in real life. The same applies to the P-45 Nokota and the Tula.
- By clipping the camera through the fuselage, one can see the texture set for the vehicle, near the rear door. Interestingly, it also has the "Mogul" text on it, used in the "Duty Calls" livery.
