The Invetero Coquette BlackFin is a classic sports car featured in Grand Theft Auto V and Grand Theft Auto Online as part of the Ill-Gotten Gains Part 2 update.
Design[]
Grand Theft Auto V and Online[]
The Coquette BlackFin is mostly based on the 1956-1957 Chevrolet Corvette (C1) in the frontal design and the 1961-1962 Chevrolet Corvette (C1) in the rear design. The front of the car also features influences from the Nash-Healey sports car, but with the grille similar to the one from the Austin-Healey 3000. Additionally the side vent and the secondary paint bodywork follow the same lines as the ones found on the side of the Austin-Healey 3000. The car also has some influences from the Roadster Shop Corvette, notably the rims, tail lights and area behind the seats. The name is a reference to the Mako Shark Corvette concept.
The car's features slightly resemble the curves of a fish, which suits its name. The front end is made up of a rounded center and seemingly flat shapes on either side, whose prominent feature is the oval-shaped grille with a chrome finish and numerous horizontal elements, together with a narrow intake below. Beside the grille, there are two defense frames with their inner edges placed past the grille surrounding, while two circular headlamps with chrome trim are seen above. The hood area follows the shape of the front end and the lid bears the manufacturer emblem on the front.
The side profile of the car is denoted by the fender flares and the seemingly flat waist lines, with a more curved shape between the rearmost door seams and the rear end, while an additional accent line starts from the top edge of the front arches and runs parallel to the aforementioned waist line, before eventually merging with it at the rear end. Most of the car's body is predominated by inset formations with narrow openings on the front fenders and chrome trim on the frontal and upper surroundings, with the latter ones becoming seemingly thinner as they approach the rearmost door seams. Silver "COQUETTE" lettering is seen near the fender openings, while circular rear-view mirrors and horizontal handles can be seen on the doors, both having a chrome finish. The greenhouse area is relatively compact in comparison to the rest of the car, having thicker chrome trim, a linear windshield and a curved roof panel with a rear window (both removable when the "No Roof" option is selected). Directly behind the seats, there is a protruding section in the center and two curved frames appearing to emulate roll bars, while the trunk lid has a slightly inset shape in comparison to the outer edges and a T-handle finished in chrome.
The rear end assumes a slanted profile and the car uses the same tail lights as the Coquette Classic (albeit without the reverse lights placed over the innermost units), while the silver "COQUETTE" lettering is seen above the section intended for the license plate, and cursive "BlackFin" badging on the passenger side. Two defense frames are mounted on either side of the license plate area, while two chrome exhaust pipes are seen beneath. The interior is similar to vehicles such as the Dominator and the Vigero, and in the enhanced version, it uses the same analog dials as the aforementioned cars.
The primary color of the car is applied on the front end, front fender flares, upper half, roof panel and interior stitching, while the secondary one is applied on the lower sides. The stock wheels are unique in design, using black wired-style rims with wide spokes, a red finish on the centercap and numerous bolts around, near the outer lips.

Performance[]
Grand Theft Auto V and Online[]
Powered by a 327cui 360hp V8 engine (according to Legendary Motorsport), the car has very good acceleration with a good top speed for a muscle car. Its handling is better than the Coquette Classic's, and better than several other Muscle cars. It does not have as many bouts of severe oversteer compared to other Muscles, and feels more consistent than them as a result. However, the car can still have its times of being hard to control, usually when attempting to take a corner and riding a curb, which regularly causes the car to lose control. It is not as fast as similar Muscle cars, but makes up for that by being able to take the corners faster and with less chances for spin outs.
Because of its consistency, high speed carry, alongside very good acceleration, the Coquette BlackFin is a good choice for Muscle racing. It's especially good on tracks which lack long straights and have more corners than normal, but stands a fighting chance on most courses regardless.
The car has a unique engine sound, along with a unique deceleration sound that is somewhat similar to the Stirling GT and Virgo, but more mechanical sounding.

Trivia[]
General[]
- The name "BlackFin" may be derived from the car's fin shaped roll-over protection behind the seats.
- The roll-cage customization is similar to the roll-cage found in the movie "Hot Rods to Hell", which features the BlackFin's real-life counter part, a first generation Chevrolet Corvette[2].
Grand Theft Auto V and Online[]
- Even though both the front and rear bumpers are visibly two parts, when damaged it can hang off oddly as though it is all one bar, often leading to one side 'floating' behind the car.
- Although the window tint option is disabled with the roof removed, one can see that the windshield is also tinted on the upper side. The player can still apply a window tint before removing the roof to keep the tinted windshield.
